Constructing programs in rural Nepal

In the rural areas of Nepal sanitary and basic education facilities are very rare! With our Constructing program in Nepal we plan to change this. Building toilets, schools, libraries and small clinics your duty will be to help the local building team to construct these and most importantly to teach the local communities how to use and the importance of these facilities. This program will test you physically and mentally as there are few building tools and most will be hand labor. The results however are everlasting!
The importance of these basic facilities is in most rural areas unknown so it will be crucial to educate the locals of this matter. As you spent more time with the community one does not feel like an outsider anymore and long lasting bands are created with the local people. This in itself is already a reward but helping the locals reaching a sustainable form of infrastructure is the higher goal. Experienced builders can also teach the locals how to construct and maintain these structures. But note it’s not critical for you to have building experience as most labor tasks will be of mixing cement, carrying building materials and generally assisting the building team.
